Dollar Tree Christmas Joy Wreath

A pizza pan and a few supplies are all you need to make this cute and easy DIY Christmas joy wreath for the holidays.
Yield: 1 wreath
Cost: $10

Materials

  • Dollar Tree Pizza Pan
  • Dollar Tree 2024 Farmhouse Locally Grown Calendar (or any holiday calendar)
  • Dollar Tree Red Burlap Ribbon
  • Dollar Tree Jute Rope
  • Dollar Tree Mini Pine Pieces
  • Dollar Tree Red Berries
  • Waverly White Chalk Paint (or acrylic paint)
  • Paint Brush
  • Dollar Tree Twine

Instructions

  • Start by painting the pizza pan with white paint. Two coats were needed for the chalk paint to cover the pan evenly. Paint, let it dry completely, and then paint it with the second coat.
  • Get your calendar and take out the picture for the month of December. If you don’t have the calendar from Dollar Tree, you can use any Christmas picture. Calendar paper just seems to be heavier and went on nicely.
  • Place the picture on top of the pizza pan. Make a crease where you need to cut. You can use a pen or pencil to trace around it or you can just eyeball it.
  • Trim off any excess. It most likely won’t cover the entire pan anyway, which is why we are using the jute rope.
  • Use hot glue to glue the picture to the pizza pan.
  • Place some glue on the inner rim of the pizza pan and place the jute rope on top.
  • Make a simple bow about 4-5 inches with the red burlap ribbon.
  • Place the pine pieces onto the pan at the top and hot glue them. Add a few berries with hot glue and then use hot glue to add the bow.
  • Cut a small piece of twine and glue the ends to the back of the wreath to make the hanger so that you can hang it on the door.

Notes

For Acrylic Paint: If you are using acrylic paint, multiple coats will be needed. Lightly sanding the pan before applying the acrylic paint will help too.
