I love adding these to our bento box lunches. They’re not bad cold but if you want to heat them up you can. If you plan to make these ahead of time for your lunch, wait to drizzle on the balsamic glaze until after it’s heated.

Items Needed:

Naan Bread: You can purchase your own mini naan rounds or make homemade naans. Homemade breads and buns are always better in my opinion! But for the sake of this recipe, we will use premade naan rounds.

Pizza Sauce: Choose your favorite pizza sauce. You can also go with marinara sauce but we prefer a nicely flavored pizza sauce. You can use store bought pizza sauce or homemade pizza sauce.

Mozzarella: Shredded mozzarella is the easiest to use these for mini caprese pizzas. It melts quickly and allows you to control how much mozzarella cheese you want on the pizzas.

Cherry Tomatoes: For these pizza capri minis, we use cherry tomatoes. We cut the cherry tomatoes into slices so that they can be evenly spread out around the pizza.

Arugula: The arugula will be added at the end. This will give the pizzas some texture, greens, and flavor.

Basil Leaves: Thinly cut basil leaves are going to add some extra flavor to our mini caprese pizzas. You want super thin leave and we will explain an easy way to do that with the recipe!

Balsamic Glaze: Once the pizzas are finished baking, adding the balsamic glaze will take these mini pizzas up a notch.

Black Pepper: You can add a pinch of black pepper to each of the mini caprese pizzas if you’d like. This is optional and you can add more or less of the black pepper if you decide to add it.
